Students with formal documentation verifying foster care status are eligible for the FYRE program. Time spent in foster care, age at entry, and exit from care does not impact eligibility.

Prospective scholars must provide formal documentation as proof for eligibility. If you were a foster youth in the state of California, you can request formal documentation here.
