Since May is National Foster Care Month, we engage the community so there can be more visibility to the foster youth population. This year FYRE will take the initiative to bring awareness for Foster Youth by doing the following.

Virtual FYRE IT UP!
Join us for our FYRE IT UP! Outreach Zoom Session hosted by the UC Irvine’s Foster Youth Resilience in Education (FYRE) Scholars Program.
The purpose of this zoom session is to provide a space for the foster youth community to learn about UC Irvine, the FYRE Scholars Program, and how to succeed in college.

Time: 1 PM- 2:30 PM

Foster Youth Awareness Training
The FYRE Scholars Program invites staff, faculty, and supporters to attend our first Foster Youth Awareness Training on Thursday, May 28th via zoom from 1 PM- 2:30 PM. Join us to learn about foster youth issues in higher education, how to support current/former foster you at UCI, and FYRE Scholars Program that supports our scholars.
